PCI SSC advisory on “ASV Program Modernization Effort”
PCI SSC advisory on “ASV Program Modernization Effort”
23 January 2018
The PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) has learned that one or more PCI Approved Scanning Vendors
(ASV) have been soliciting other ASV Companies to participate in an initiative referred to as the “ASV Program
Modernization Effort.” PCI SSC has received questions and concerns about this initiative from members of the
ASV community, suggesting there may be confusion as to whether PCI SSC is somehow involved.
As with all PCI SSC programs, PCI SSC welcomes stakeholder engagement and feedback on the ASV
Program through a variety of channels, including dedicated discussion forums and the ASV Feedback Form.
Questions and comments can also be submitted to ASV@pcisecuritystandards.org.
However, PCI SSC is not a participant in, and in no way endorses, is affiliated with, sponsors, or has
contributed to the above-noted “ASV Program Modernization Effort.”
Should you or one of your customers receive communications on this initiative, please advise PCI SSC by
reporting it to: ASV@pcisecuritystandards.org.
