EMV® Specification Bulletin No. 293 First Edition April 2023 Addition of Token Requestor ID to Book C-2 This Specification Bulletin adds the Token Requestor ID to Book C-2 This Specification Bulletin:

  • Adds the Token Requestor ID to the Data Dictionary and the Data Record of Book C-2.

Description

The EMV Payment Tokenisation Specification–Technical Framework introduces the Token Requestor ID, which may be used in support of payment tokenisation and may be present on chip cards and may be provided to the merchant and acquirer. This bulletin updates EMV Contactless Book C-2 to define the Token Requestor ID so that it is recognized by the kernel, and the kernel is able to output this data to the merchant for EMV mode transactions (not for mag-stripe mode transactions).
