Description

In Book A, Section 5.8.1, starting condition of Start B states that “When starting at Start B, there is no Pre-Processing and the Entry Point Pre-Processing Indicators have fixed values.” On the other hand, in Book B, Section 3.2.1.1 states that “if the Restart flag is 0” [and] “If Entry Point is activated by the reader at Start B, then: For each Combination, Entry Point shall reset the Entry Point PreProcessing Indicators to 0.” and the two statements are not consistent. This bulletin is published to update Book B to align the descriptions in the specifications.

Details of Changes ✓ Change Section 3.2.1.1 as follows: Requirements – Protocol Activation 3.2.1.1 If the Restart flag is 0, then:

  • If Entry Point is activated by the reader4 at Start B, then:
  • For each Combination, Entry Point shall reset the Entry Point Pre-Processing Indicators to either the fixed value, or to zero if there is not a fixed value.
  • For each Combination, if Terminal Transaction Qualifiers (TTQ) is configured, then Entry Point shall copy the TTQ from Entry Point Configuration Data (see Book A, Table 5-2) into the Copy of TTQ in the Entry Point Pre-Processing Indicators.
  • Entry Point shall clear the Candidate List. 4 Error situations (e.g. timeout) or Outcomes handled directly by Entry Point (e.g. Try Again) are not considered an activation by the reader. countries.
