Specification Bulletin No. 134 First Edition March 2014 ATTRIB Command – Higher Layer - INF Field This Specification Bulletin clarifies that Entry Point shall not use a higher layer command in the Higher Layer – INF field of the ATTRIB command.

Applicability

This Specification Bulletin applies to:

  • EMV Contactless Specifications for Payment Systems, Book B – Entry Point Specification, Version 2.3 – February 2013.

Description

This Specification Bulletin clarifies that Entry Point shall not use a higher layer command in the Higher Layer

  • INF field of the ATTRIB command, even if the underlying Level 1 platform supports it. Specification Change Add a new requirement 3.2.1.6 at the end of section 3.2 as follows: Requirements – Protocol Activation – Higher Layer
  • INF 3.2.1.6 As described in Book D requirement 6.4.1.12, Entry Point shall not use a higher layer command in the Higher layer
  • INF field of the ATTRIB command.
