Description
This Specification Bulletin changes the required exception handling behaviour for a PICC in the event that it receives a frame with more than FSC data bytes. It is no longer mandatory that the PICC handles this is a protocol error; the PICC may accept the frame provided it handles the frame correctly.
Specification Changes 1. Change requirement 4.7.4.2 as follows: PICC 4.7.4.2 The PICC shall be capable of accepting frames with FSC data bytes. The PICC shall may resort to exception processing (protocol error) if it receives a frame with more than FSC data bytes. If blocks containing more than FSC data bytes are accepted, they should be handled correctly. 2. Change requirement 10.3.5.1 to include the statement ‘unless explicitly specified otherwise’ as follows: PICC 10.3.5.1 The PICC shall detect transmission errors (frame error or EDC error) and protocol errors (infringement of the protocol rules) unless explicitly specified otherwise.
