EMVCo General Bulletin N°14, Migration Schedule for Introduction of New CVM Condition Codes In order to allow issuers to specify different cardholder verification methods for different types of cash and cashback transactions, the ‘If Cash or Cashback’ CVM Condition Code is being subdivided into three separate CVM Condition Codes for unattended cash, manual cash, and purchase with cashback transactions. ‘If unattended cash’ applies to cash transactions at ATMs, cash dispensing machines, and other unattended devices. ‘If manual cash’ applies to cash transactions at attended financial institution or merchant devices. ‘If purchase with cashback’ applies to purchase transactions where the cardholder receives cash in addition to goods or services. Specification Changes Make the following changes to:
