Description
This General Bulletin announces the availability of the EMV Contactless Communication Protocol Specification v2.0.1. A new version of the EMV Contactless Communication Protocol Specification, version 2.0.1, is now available for download in the Specifications Section of the EMVCo website, www.emvco.com. This version incorporates a series of proposed Specifications Updates comprising of editorial comments, the full State Machine for Type A and B, adjustments to set-up values and better alignment with other industries’ Specifications. Testing availability for terminals and cards implementing the new version, v2.0.1, will be communicated at a later stage. For better understanding of the transition impact to v2.0.1 and to help EMVCo manage the migration from v2.0 to v2.0.1, EMVCo invites terminal vendors to participate in a survey to evaluate the impact about the requirements changes from Contactless Communication Protocol v2.0 to v2.0.1; the survey period will end in September 30th, 2009.
