Description
EMV provides four CDA options, Mode 1, 2, 3, and 4. Depending on the option chosen, CDA can be performed at 1st Generate AC, at 2nd Generate AC, or at both. This bulletin clarifies that when CDA is performed at 1st Generate AC (Mode 1 or Mode 2), ‘Offline data authentication was performed’ bit in the TSI shall be set to 1 after the 1st Generate AC. Specification Changes In Section 10.3, ‘Description:’, after the paragraph ‘If the records read… … bit in the TVR’, insert following: When CDA is performed at 1st Generate AC (CDA Mode 1 or 2), terminal shall set ‘Offline data authentication was performed’ bit in the TSI to 1 immediately after the 1st Generate AC.
