Description

In EMV Book 3, section 10.6.2 "Random Transaction Selection" describes the requirements for which a transaction is eligible for Random Transaction Selection. This specification bulletin clarifies that if the transaction amount is equal to or greater than the floor limit, the transaction is not eligible for Random Transaction Selection.

Proposed Specification Change In EMV 4.3 Book 3, section 10.6.2, replace Figure 13 by the following: 100% Probability of Selection Max Target % to be Used for Biased Random Selection Target % to be Used for Random Selection 0% Threshold Value for Biased Random Selection Transaction Amount Not Applicable Random Transaction Selection is not performed for any transaction with a transaction amount equal to or greater than the floor limit. Floor Limit
