EMV® Terminal Type Approval Bulletin No. 292 First Edition, June 2026 Terminal L2 Test Plan Release 4.4d This Bulletin announces the availability of the updated Test Plan 4.4d Applicability This Bulletin applies to: • All Contact Terminal Level 2 Type Approval Sessions Related Documents This Bulletin should be read in conjunction with: • EMV Terminal Type Approval – Contact Terminal Level 2 – Administrative Process, Version 2.15 • EMV Terminal Type Approval – Contact Level 2 – Test Cases, Version 4.4d Effective Date • July 1st, 2026 EMVCo is pleased to announce the availability of the updated Level 2 Contact Test Plan version 4.4d. The following documents have been published on the EMVCo website: - EMV Terminal Type Approval – Contact Level 2 – Test Cases, Version 4.4d - Contact Level 2 Implementation Conformance Statement, Version 4.4d, - EMV Terminal Type Approval – Contact Level 2 - Administrative Process, Version 2.15, - EMV TTA Bulletin n°286: Contact Terminal Level 2 – Issue List - 1st Ed All Level 2 EMVCo laboratories that have been provisionally recognised for the delivery of this service are authorized to perform full type approval testing using updated Test Plan 4.4d. Starting from July 1st, 2026, all Type Approval test sessions should use the 4.4d version of the test documents. After migration period, products will be type approved using 4.4d version of the test plan only. • Version 4.4d of the Test Cases has been activated as of July 1st, 2026, • Product can be registered with 4.4d ICS version as from July 1st, 2026 As part of the migration period described in the Administrative Process and its extension to 6 months for the 44d release (see Type Approval Bulletin 199 - Specific Approval Rules - 7th Ed for more details): • Product can be registered with 4.4c ICS version until January 1st, 2027. © 2026 EMVCo, LLC.
