• Immediate Description Since January 2026 the format of the LOA name slightly changed for all initial approvals: the digits referring to the Laboratory in the LOA name are deleted and all other digits remain identical. This change is made to better cover specific cases where multiple laboratories are involved (For example, laboratory changed between initial approval and renewal of the same product). This change applies to Initial Approvals only. Renewal, Restricted Renewal, Additional Configurations Approvals: the format of the LOA name remains identical to the LOA name format of Initial Approval of the concerned product. © 2026 EMVCo, LLC.
