Description
EMVCo has developed an interactive online resource to provide EMV 3-D Secure (3DS) UI/UX Design Guidelines for implementers of EMV 3-D Secure, including merchants, issuers and solution providers. The Guidelines support the EMV 3-D Secure user interface templates, requirements, and guidelines in the EMV<sup>®</sup> 3DS Protocol and Core Functions Specification with supplemental recommendations for optimising the EMV 3-D Secure authentication process for the consumer to provide a consistent, familiar and seamless payment experience. Specifically, implementers of EMV 3-D Secure can reference these guidelines when building or upgrading the User Interface (UI) for 3DS authentication to deploy an approach that helps consumers move through the security process efficiently, minimizing unnecessary friction that leads to shopping cart abandonment.
