This new process applies to all 3DS SDK 2.3.1 products (Default SDK or Split-SDK), provided: - They already obtained a previous 3DS LOA 2.3.1 for the same Implementation Conformance Statement (ICS) options, features and Operating System (OS). Note that OS version of the previous 3DS SDK may be lower. - The UI implementation has not been changed (*) - The previous 3DS SDK has been fully tested on test plan 2.3.1 (reduced SDK UI testing applies every other 3DS approval) - The LOA of the previous 3DS SDK is still valid when ICS of the new product is submitted to EMVCo The reduced SDK UI testing approach consists of selecting the 10% most relevant nominal UI test cases of SDK Test Plans 2.3.1 thus drastically reducing the duration of the test session. Note that the testing of the 3DS SDK on protocol 2.2.0 is also reduced due to the regression testing approach introduced in 3DS Approval Bulletin No.29, 2nd edition that will also apply if the 3DS SDK is eligible for reduced SDK UI testing. As a results, around 50 SDK UI test cases will be performed during the approval of an eligible 3DS SDK 2.3.1 instead of 450 or more. (*) The product provider will have to send a written attestation that the SDK UI implementation has not changed when the ICS of the 3DS SDK will be submitted to EMVCo. Attestation template will be available on EMVCo website. Please note that changes made on font, colour, size or boldness of text or on size or shape of logos are not considered as UI implementation changes in the context of this bulletin.
