Description

The CCD Card Approval process is updated to introduce various changes described below:

  • Admin Process version 2.8.
  • Deprecation of the IC Electrical Compliance Label Process and deprecation of the possibility to do Level 1 evaluation through an audit and/or in a non EMVCo laboratory as already announced in Approval Bulletin No. 35, second edition.
  • Clarification of the eligibility to reduced fee and the testing expected in case of multiprotocol card.
  • Clarification of the applicable rules in case of multiple laboratories testing a product.
  • Rules for business review form delivery during registration.
  • Clarification of the ATR requirements when submitting a product for approval.
  • Option to use different samples for electrical and protocol testing.
  • ICS validity extended to 6 months and approval completion before the expiration of the ICS.
  • Clarification that a test report is valid for 90 days.
  • Description and clarification of the renewal process.
  • Description and clarification of the derivative and change process. countries.

  • Removal of the list of supported bulletins and addition of the version of the supported EMV specifications.
  • Removal of questions A.5.6 and A.5.7 about electrical testing.
  • Split of the section A.6.1 into 2 sections for CCD applications and others.
  • Addition of questions A.7.3 to A.7.6 when there is a limitation on simultaneous personalization and activation of all applications listed in section A.6.
  • Clarification of the ATR expectations in L1P.1.1.
  • Clarification of L2.2.3 to L2.2.5, L2.5.4 to L2.5.6.
  • Update of question L2.13.3 and new question L2.13.3b.
  • CCD Test Plan version 4.4.a and Card Image Requirements version 4.4.a.
  • Few maintenance/clarification updates on test cases 2CA.022.00, 2CB.012.00, 2CB.101.01, 2CH.002.00, 2CH.004.00, 2CH.125.0x, 2CH.125.01.

  • Alignment with the new ICS 4.4.a.
