PCI SSC Launches Enhanced Language Microsites for Global Audience

The PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) has announced the launch of newly redesigned language microsites, delivering a more accessible, structured, and user-friendly experience for global stakeholders. These updates mark a significant step forward in making PCI resources more readily available to non-English-speaking audiences by providing a consistent user experience across languages.
The new microsites are available in six supported languages: Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Spanish, and Portuguese. Users can access these localized experiences through the language selector located in the upper-right corner of the main PCI SSC website.
The redesigned microsites, developed, in part, as a result of feedback from the PCI Board of Advisors, introduce several enhancements aimed at improving usability and consistency, including:
- Improved navigation for translated resources in the Document Library: The Document Library has been reorganized so users can quickly find resources that have been translated into their language. Users can now search and filter documents, making it easier to locate what they need.
- Consistent experience across languages: Microsites follow a standardized structure aligned with the English site, creating a cohesive experience for global audiences.
- Localized content for global users: Core pages and messaging have been translated to support non-English-speaking users while maintaining alignment with the source content.
- Streamlined navigation for translated content: Key sections like Get Involved, Standards, About, and Resources (including the Document Library and PCI DSS Glossary) have been thoughtfully included, with adjustments where needed to account for untranslated elements.
These updates represent a substantial improvement over previous microsites, which were somewhat limited in functionality and resource retrieval capabilities. Users now benefit from structured navigation, improved and expanded access to translated resources, and a design that better supports global audiences. The addition of key sections and enhanced guidance creates a more comprehensive and global user-centric experience.
With these enhancements, PCI SSC reinforces its commitment to serving a diverse, global community by improving access to critical security standards and resources in multiple languages. Organizations worldwide can now more effectively engage with and implement PCI standards through a more streamlined and accessible digital experience.
